Everyone super nice except 1 woman
Tried to get my ticket last night, no tickets after5:30. Today station open at 7 won't let me purchase ticket until 7:30. Train leaves at 7:36! At kiosk didn't see option for senior fare! No reason to purchase a ticket with 5 min to spare. Some seniors might not make it

I arrived around 6:30 am..Clean, some passengers,
felt secure enough.. Doors were open at 7:00 am..Very clean..No Snack Bar.. Vending machines only. Trains can be a little late..Very busy Tracks.

I wish the Coast Starlight had a layover here instead of in Sacramento, but no one’s paying me to call the shots at Amtrak. Either way, it's a good stop to jump off to stretch your legs, puff-a-luff, smoke a stogie or brush your teeth, if you’re so inclined. If you do have a layover, walk on over to the cabin of Jack’s that they brought down from Alaska. If you’re lucky enough to have that layover and the farmers market is going on, you’d best check it out… The reason we lose a star isn’t based on my experiences, but others told me it’s difficult to catch connections for different transportation options from here.

I love coming here because everybody is very professional has always been very professional...
It is that type of place is very organized you know where to go what type of train is coming what is the location and the number of the train and they tell you where exactly you need to be for you to board the correct train, when it arrives.
Unfortunately the only thing that I disliked that they had recently changed early scheduling. I dropped my husband off early this morning and his train got there at 7:15 exactly but unfortunately we cannot buy a ticket because they don't sell the tickets that early it's closed. We were told that we would have to buy the ticket in advance which is what we do usually but it was the last minute thing and his boss called him. Thank God that the guy that was by the door and the train sodium ticket cash and my husband was able to go to work. Thanks for that gentleman who works for Amtrak. If possible I would appreciate it if they could start back opening really early I don't know what the reason was for them to stop doing that but whatever it was hopefully they resolve it soon...

What a great way to travel !

Lyft to the Sacramento Amtrak ticket office, a 7 minute walk out to the train, seemed like an hour to Jack London square, but I know it had to have been more.

A smooth quiet ride with electrical power, table, WiFi, small cafe, comfortable seating, and nice views.

If younger, or just physically fit in-general. Consider bringing a small day pack and bicycle helmet instead of a suitcase. Register apps on your cellphone for both Lime and Bird electric scooter rental. Rental starts at $1.

Lift and Bird scooters are found everywhere. If someone's not on it, use the app and you're on the go. At your destination, terminate your trip on the app.

After checking into a hotel. You won't need that backpack. Just grab a bird or lime scooter and you're off hopping from restaurant to restaurant to nightlife and everywhere else that catches your fancy.

Need to carry some packages? Then use your Lyft app.

Personally, I only use my home computer to create accounts that link to my Paypal account. Then I use my account name and number that I generate on my computer to go to the app and get the app setup on my cell phone.
